IT’S CUSTOMER FOCUS… IN A “FUN” WAY!

To celebrate the launch of Clanmil Ireland’s new Customer Charter, tenants and their families, enjoyed a day of fun and activities at Claddagh Park, Tom Bellew Avenue, Dundalk on Wednesday 27th August 2008.

The Customer Charter clearly sets out the minimum standards that tenants can expect from Clanmil Ireland in their dealings with the association. It covers all areas of tenancies including allocations, rents, community involvement, maintenance and communication.

Those who attended enjoyed a children’s street party with a range of activities such as face painting, bouncy castles, arts and crafts and balloon modelling.

Clanmil Ireland is a growing social housing provider in Ireland and has 68 units of accommodation at Claddagh Park where it provides quality homes for families, and also specially designed homes for less able bodied tenants with Cheshire Ireland. Creche facilities are also provided in partnership with The Holy Family Creche. Partnership is key and Clanmil Ireland is delighted to be working with Cheshire Homes to support the less able bodied tenants and with Holy Family Creche in the provision of crèche facilities.

Clanmil Ireland is part of a Group which also includes Clanmil Housing in Northern Ireland which has over 30 years experience in delivering housing to those in need and currently has 2,000 homes in management.

Clare McCarty, Chief Executive of Clanmil Ireland commented,

“The launch of the Customer Charter demonstrates our commitment to keep customer care at the heart of the services that we provide. The document tells tenants what they can expect from Clanmil in all areas of their tenancy. It also requests a commitment from tenants to work with Clanmil Ireland so that a healthy relationship is established and maintained between both parties.

We are determined that the services provided by Clanmil Ireland are of the highest standard and we continually make improvements where we can. We recognise that the views and ideas of our tenants are critical to this process and encourage them to tell us what we do well, and perhaps not so well, so that we can continually improve on the services provided by Clanmil Ireland.”

John O’Brien, Chair of Clanmil Ireland, welcomed the launch of this important document and said:-

“The Customer Charter consists of a number of ‘promises’ to tenants on the level of service they can expect from Clanmil Ireland.” He added. “Every member of our staff will do their very best to fulfil and, where possible, exceed the expectations of this Charter. One promise contained within the Charter is ‘Community Involvement’ - the street party provided today is, I believe, evidence of that commitment.”
