European Housing Forum

FEANTSA is the European Federation of National Organisations working with the Homeless and was established in 1989 as a European non-governmental organisation. There are approximately 100 member organisations of FEANTSA from 30 European countries, including all 27 Member States of the European Union. The ICSH is a member of FEANTSA

FEANTSA currently chairs the European Housing Forum which was created in 1997 as a forum for debate, transnational exchanges and mutual learning amongst European representative bodies.

On April 18th 2007, the ICSH hosted a meeting of the European Housing Forum with a seminar entitled Building Sustainable Communities - Housing Policies are the Driving Force. The conference brought together around 60 housing experts from different sectors from across Europe. The conference was opened by the Minister Noel Ahern, TD, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Renewal.
