Agreement between ICSH, Irish Banking Federation and Government Bodies
From previous discussions between the ICSH, Government Departments and the Banking federation it has been agreed to have a process where any difficulties that housing associations encounter with leasing initiatives and through using private finance will be identified and resolved. To underpin this ‘principles of engagement’ between the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, the Department of Finance, the Irish Banking Federation, the County and City Managers Association and the Irish Council for Social Housing have now been agreed.

This is a briefing note detailing current recommended rent levels following the changes made to Rent Supplement in the April Supplementary Budget.

Gathering accurate data on homelessness can be problematic. This can be due to a lack of integration between homeless service providers and local authorities on persons accommodated and the sometimes transitory nature of accommodation provided to homeless people where it is not always possible to get full length forms completed by people in crisis.
