Capital Advance Leasing Facility (CALF) seminar

This CALF seminar is intended to give an overview of the CALF funding model including the background and context to its introduction, details relating to the application and assessment process. In particular the CPD allows for learning on the workings of the ICSH Financial Model in a step by step manner using worked examples of small to medium type projects. The seminar will prove beneficial and insightful for AHBs looking to explore the CALF model as a means of financing social housing provision.

The 2013 ICSH Biennial National Social Housing Conference took place in Wexford on the 18th and 19th of September, bringing together more than 250 staff and voluntary board members of housing associations and co-operatives, local authority officials, elected members, tenant bodies, Government officials, private sector organisations and those involved in research and consultancy.
Since 2010, the Irish Council for Social Housing (ICSH) has supported members to celebrate the European Neighbours Day in Ireland. Following the success of the last three years events the ICSH will continue to encourage members to hold an event in 2013 with residents in local communities around Ireland. Events which have been held in the past include coffee mornings, open days, music sessions, barbeques, storytelling, tea parties, family day, face painting, dancing and much more.
CECODHAS Housing Europe is the European Federation of Public, Cooperative & Social Housing. This year, the CECODHAS General Assembly will take place in Dublin over three days.
As part of this event, on 22nd May, a thematic conference is being held. A key part of the event will be learning from the EU SHELTER project which promotes and facilitates energy renovation of homes through co-operation and integrated design.
CECODHAS Housing Europe is the European Federation of Public, Cooperative & Social Housing - a network of 45 national and regional federations which together gather about 41,400 public, voluntary and cooperative housing providers in 19 countries.

The ICSH Board Member Award was first awarded in 2007 and aims to recognise the outstanding contributions made by voluntary board members to the voluntary housing sector and their communities.
There are approximately 2,000 voluntary board members within the Voluntary Housing Sector and this award aims to celebrate individuals who have made a hugely positive contribution as a Board Member to the provision of social housing in Ireland.

The 2011 ICSH Biennial National Social Housing Conference took place the 28th and 29th of September 2011 in Galway with approximately 290 delegates in attendance.

The 2011 Community Housing Awards sponsored by Allianz were announced on Wednesday 28th September as part of the ICSH Biennial National Social Conference in Galway.
Initiated in 2003, the awards showcase the range of high quality social housing projects that have been developed buy housing associations and local authorities in recent years which have contributed significantly to creating more stable and sustainable communities.
