Dónal McManus, Chairperson Irish Council of Social Housing and the Mayor’s representative Cllr. Michael Looney recently launched a new development of social housing at Cuan Barra, Kilmore, Béal Átha an Ghaorthaidh by the housing body Coiste Tithe Uibh Laoire Teo.
Tuath contracted with Modern Homes Ireland (MHI) to deliver this impressive new estate of 102 A rated, energy efficient family houses in rapid time with the backing of Louth County Council and the Department of Housing. Speaking at the launch, Housing Minister, Eoghan Murphy said: “This much needed development is just one of a number of projects that Tuath Housing are undertaking in partnership with Local Authorities around the country...this project is yet another example of the continuing trend of housing delivery in the Louth region.”
Quarter 2 2019 has been another successful period for Tuath with the delivery of 277 homes across 12 different Local Authority areas, at a cost of approximately €35m. These homes have been delivered via a range of delivery mechanisms including leasing, new build, acquisitions and Mortgage to Rent.
Fold Ireland (AHB), are proud to have been involved in the development of a new three-storey Residential Apartment Block that provides independent living for older people. The Tonlegee Road development contains 47 one-bed apartments that were provided under the Rebuilding Ireland Action Plan. Dublin City Council were the sanctioning authority for the scheme with funding of €10 million from the Department of Housing and Housing Finance Agency (HFA).
