Adrian Norridge Housing Research Bursary Call for Research Proposals

Clúid Housing Association is pleased to announce its competition for the third Adrian Norridge Housing Research Bursary. Deadline: August 9th 213

Fuel Poverty Strategy

The overall research objective of this bursary is to assist Clúid to develop a comprehensive fuel poverty strategy that will reduce to a minimum the extent of fuel poverty among its tenants.

Clúid has carried out a programme of light retrofit works which by the end of this year will have improved the energy performance of approximately 90% of Clúid’s units that were constructed prior to 1st January 2006.

We now want to move onto the next stage and develop a bespoke fuel poverty strategy for Clúid. Retrofit programmes will form a key component of the strategy, and will focus on performance, value for money, payback periods and return on investment. The programmes will include strategies for ‘hard to treat’ properties as well as a deep retrofit programme in order to make a greater impact on energy performance across our stock.

The amount awarded for the research will be a maximum of €15,000.

Further information and an application form can be obtained from Simon Brooke, Head of Policy, Cluid Housing Association,, or Lucinda McNally, Communications Co-ordinator, Clúid Housing Association,

Closing date for applications is Friday 9th August 2013.
