The Taoiseach and Housing Minister were shown around the development by Paul Reid (Fingal County Manager) and his senior Management team. Fingal County Council have acquired 47 homes at Hansfield and have appointed Tuath Housing Association as their property managers. In summary, the 47 homes comprise of eleven three-bed terraced houses and thrity six two-bed apartments
The new homes were built using ‘rapid’ construction methods with a three bed terraced house going up in an impressive six weeks, on average. All homes are finished to a very high standard and provide A-rated energy efficiency from electric heating (air to water heating system) which is extremely economical to run.
The thirty-six two bedroom apartments are located in three four storey blocks. Six apartments have been adapted especially for disabled and/or elderly tenants.

Seventy nine social homes have been delivered as part of an innovative public-private partnership deal between Dublin City Council and developers McGarrell Reilly and are part of an overall development involving 263 apartments along with retail and office space at Charlemont St in the south inner city. Túath will manage the 79 social homes and a community complex on behalf of Dublin City Council.
Some forty families moved from the old Charlemont flats into their new homes and the balance of the apartments allocated have been let to families from the housing list of Dublin City Council and will move in shortly.
