Peter McVerry Trust, the national housing and homeless charity, has launched a new international partnership with Pathways Housing First Institute (USA). The charity believes the new partnership will result in a larger number of people with complex needs leaving homelessness and offer improved levels of tenancy sustainment for those that secure a new home.
Túath Housing’s national procurement and acquisition strategy secured over 500 social homes in 2017 by July. New social homes have been provided within 30 different local authority areas. A further 300+ social homes are currently on site and are also due for handover throughout the country before the end of the year. The association will have invested approximately €80 million using a combination of State funding and private finance from the Housing Finance Agency (HFA), European Investment Bank (EIB) and Allied Irish Bank (AIB) by year end.
