Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) is the national federation for the co-operative housing movement. Founded in 1973, CHI has supported the provision of homes across the country and promoted the development of affiliated local co-operative societies across Ireland. CHI currently employs approximately 80 staff and is responsible for the management of more than 2,750 homes through a network of local co-operatives.
CHI is committed to leading the development of social, economic, and environmental sustainability in Ireland through co-operative effort and the provision of co-operative housing. CHI does this by leading the growth of co-operative housing, building sustainable co-operative communities, developing co-operative leadership, raising its own capacity and continually representing the co-operative housing movement.
CHI is dedicated to ensuring that it has high quality and effective communications and support systems in place to support their membership base and the work of the Housing Services team. CHI is now seeking a Member Engagement Manager. This is a new position within CHI and a fantastic opportunity to join one of Ireland’s largest Approved Housing Bodies.
Member Engagement Manager
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services and working closely with all internal departments, the Member Engagement Manager will be responsible for the promotion of the co-operative ethos and principles among the membership and general public, and the support of CHI’s member co-ops. This is a leadership role with high levels of responsibility, which provides the opportunity to contribute to the development of a rapidly growing and changing organisation at a national level.
The successful candidate will have 5-6 years’ experience in a similar environment, with a proven ability to work on their own initiative within a flexible, co-operative team structure. The Member Engagement Manager will possess excellent communication skills while still acting in a friendly, empathic and member-focused manner. The post-holder will hold a full, clean driver’s licence.
