Past ICSH Event
Reflecting on the work of the ICSH during 2017 and in the years to come issues that were raised included the challenges facing housing associations and the ICSH as membership bodyin relation to the CSO/Eurostat reclassification of housing associations as part of the local government sub-sector. Also, the recurring concerns facing our smaller (Tier 1) members around long-serving voluntary board members and the problem of succession and governance were also raised. Minister Eoghan Muprhy addressed members in attendance and spoke of the housing association sector as critical to the delivery of social housing under Rebuilding Ireland.
The 2015 ICSH Biennial National Social Housing Conference, backed by AIB, took place in the Tullamore Court Hotel, Tullamore, Co. Offaly on 16-17 September 2015.

The ICSH Board Member and Governing Board Award for 2013, sponsored by the Housing Agency, were presented to the winners at the ICSH National Social Housing Conference in Wexford.

The 2013 ICSH Biennial National Social Housing Conference took place in Wexford on the 18th and 19th of September, bringing together more than 250 staff and voluntary board members of housing associations and co-operatives, local authority officials, elected members, tenant bodies, Government officials, private sector organisations and those involved in research and consultancy.
Since 2010, the Irish Council for Social Housing (ICSH) has supported members to celebrate the European Neighbours Day in Ireland. Following the success of the last three years events the ICSH will continue to encourage members to hold an event in 2013 with residents in local communities around Ireland. Events which have been held in the past include coffee mornings, open days, music sessions, barbeques, storytelling, tea parties, family day, face painting, dancing and much more.

The 2011 ICSH Biennial National Social Housing Conference took place the 28th and 29th of September 2011 in Galway with approximately 290 delegates in attendance.

The ICSH Board Member Award was first awarded in 2007 and aims to recognise the outstanding contributions made by voluntary board members to the voluntary housing sector and their communities.
There are approximately 2,000 voluntary board members within the Voluntary Housing Sector and this award aims to celebrate individuals who have made a hugely positive contribution as a Board Member to the provision of social housing in Ireland.
